Built in 1914 as a private affairs room
for the prestigious Travelers Club the
room quickly took off and gained
popularity, maybe too much popularity.
As Prohibition set upon the country,
certain nefarious characters set upon
the Travelers Club and realized that
the private affairs room would make
quite the speakeasy.  The owner, an
upstanding businessman named
Charles Churchill, was being
pressured into allowing the
questionable activities take place.
When he resisted, they found his body
in the room riddled with bullets.  No
charges were ever brought.  The
Authorities shut down the Travelers
Club, or so they thought.  Now whether
it was through corruption or just plain
sneakiness, Chicago's North Side
Boss, J. Boyle, decided the Travelers
Club Private Affairs Room would be his
Crown Jewel and provide the services
that an alcohol starved city craved.
Known only at 1914, the crowds began
to revel in its grandeur, however, some
say they can still feel a cold presence
4 years after the murder of Mr.
Churchill.

The Ladies in Hospitality enjoyed the
ambiance of the room and were
delighted at the customer service they
gave.  For private events please call
