the seven ancient Celtic Nations. Those nations include Ireland; Scotland; Cornwall; Isle of Man; Wales; Galicia, Spain
and Brittany, France. Celtic music enfolds a variety of rich cultures, as various geographical areas contribute diverse
backgrounds and flavors. Celtic Fest Chicago celebrates this history with music and traditions that date back to 300
B.C.

This year, Celtic Fest Chicago will feature a full line-up of world-class entertainment both days including Ireland's The
Saw Doctors on Saturday and the popular French Canadian group La Bottine Souriante to close the festival on Sunday.

Highlights of the festival in Millennium Park include the Men in Kilts Contest on the Jay Pritzker Pavilion Stage on
Saturday. This unique contest allows the ladies to pick their favorite set of legs in kilts; all brave lads can sign up at the
festival. You won't want to miss the bagpipe parade through the park and bagpipe circle in front of the "Bean" or Cloud
Gate. The Next Generation Stage will host local music school performers during the day and continue through the
evening with established bands.

On the South Promenade the FlyNovaScotia.com Gathering tent will feature the Harp and Uilleann Pipe music during
the day and then the dance and music of Canada's Celtic Capitol through the talent of Nova Scotian musicians
perform each evening. Celtic dancing will be performed, including Irish ceili dancing and Scottish country dance
instruction in the evening on the North Promenade. Additionally, the Celtic Art Fair will be featured on both promenades.

The festival begins at
11:00 am each day in Millennium Park located at Michigan Avenue and Randolph. For more
information, including the full line-up call the Mayor's Office of Special Events at (312) 744-3315 or visit www.

MORE ABOUT STEVEN BRINBERG

Using Streisand's vocal style, mannerisms and range, Brinberg brings the feel of an intimate concert with the
lady herself to the stage.   From the opening number to final curtain, Brinberg is scarily accurate in capturing the
idiosyncrasies of the famous lady. His vocals can be spot-on as a direct impersonation.  Interspersing the songs
with dialogue in Streisand's own style, with comments about places she has been, her husband and family, and
concerts and films she has acted in, the evening is true entertainment. Brinberg has appeared as Streisand
alongside Marvin Hamlisch and has performed as Streisand at a birthday party for Donna Karan.  Brinberg
impersonates a series of other singers all of whom seem to have recorded the same track, Alfie.

MORE ABOUT THE LAKE SHORE SALON SERIES

LAKE SHORE SALON SERIES, with KMP artists, saw Spider Saloff singing Funny Valentine and other love songs
at a Feb.14 soiree in the home of Frank Krug. On April 25, Steven Brinberg does his amazing  Simply Barbra
Streisand show in the home of Bill Buchman and Lee Lichamer. Vienna to Weimar was the theme of KT Sullivan
and Karen Kohler's mini-concert held in the Evanston house of Allan and Carla Price to begin the fund-raising to
present the full concert in Chicago sometime in the future.  Event hosts were Andrew Delicata and Kristopher
McDowell. Performers for the first event in the season are KT Sullivan, who was in Gentlemen Prefer Blonde's on
Broadway and Karen Kohler, popular German-born cabaret star.

Concerning Agua fría de mar, the
jury said that the film 'succeeded
in telling the story of a mysterious
relationship between a woman and
a young girl in a convincing and
poetic manner. The film takes the
audience on an unusual journey
through a nature that interacts
with people in a magical way. The
superb editing ensures an organic
flow of images, whilst the strong
Mundane History, about the
wavering relationship between a
bitter invalid and his new carer
offered philosophical and political
insight into aspects of Thai
society, according to the jury
report. 'For us this film appeals to
both intelligence and spirituality.
We are impressed with the
accomplished interplay of abstract
ideas and harrowing reality in this
film.' Earlier this week Anocha
Suwichakornpong won the Prince
Claus Fund Film Grant for her new
CineMart project By The Time It
Gets Dark.

Alamar is a film that 'touches
deeply without being too
sentimental'. This film, about a
father and son that go on a journey
to the source of the open sea to
find their old way of life, is 'true
and honest to its subject and
shows both the good fortune and
tragedy of being a child with
divorced parents', according to
the jury.

This year there were fifteen films
up for the VPRO Tiger Awards,
which were either debuts or
second films from novice
directors. The three winners will
each get €15,000. This year the jury
consisted of director Amat
Escalante, actress Jeanne Balibar,
director Urszula Antoniak, former
director of the Singapore film
festival Philip Chea and the
Ugandan actor, musician,
scriptwriter and activist Okello
Kelo Sam.

As well as the Tiger Awards, other
prizes were announced. The KNF
award, a prize from the Circle of
Netherlands Film Journalists, was
awarded to a film that is not yet
available for distribution in the
Netherlands: Norteado from
Mexican director Rigoberto
Pérezcano. According to the jury
this is 'a film that touched our
hearts and minds with its high
visual qualities, terrific acting and
gripping story about the plight of
illegal immigrants that try to get
into the United States.'

The FIPRESCI award from
international film critics was given
this year to Let Each One Go
Where He May from Ben Russell, a
film that was also nominated for a
VPRO Tiger Award. The prize rom
the network for promoting Asian
film, NETPAC, was given to the
Korean film Moscow from Whang
Cheol-Mean. (SM)
