Ristorante Prosecco
710 North Wells
Chicago, IL

Kathryn Sullivan Alverà, managing partner at Prosecco (visit
ristoranteprosecco.com for a raving review on not
only Kathryn but the entire staff) was waiting for us at the  hostess vestibule.  Her warm welcome radiated the
European glamorous setting of the fine dining Wells Street ristorante.  We toured the home of executive chef,
Mark Sparacino who has spent his life traveling the world, visiting ports of call as far flung as Rio de Janiero,
Monte Carlo and Capetown. In each new locale he has looked for unique ingredients to incorporate into his
dishes, each plate a mini-masterpiece filled with flavor, heart and soul.   He visited our table and chatted with
us briefly promising to share his crab cake recipe that we will pass on to you later.

Our server detailed the menu that left us changing our mind at each item.  We finally shared Bufala, buffalo
mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes and roasted pepper with aged balsamic drizzle.  It was predisposed by the
house wine that gave us a sweet bubbly personality.  Stephanie Gunn from the Seneca Hotel
(visit our partner
page) enjoyed the Salmone con Lenticchie e Spinaci, a grilled wild king salmon, braised lentil, baby spinach
with a lemon-scented olive oil.  I feasted on the Filetto Di Manzo, a filet of beef, sun-dried tomato butter,
caramelized shallot port wine reduction, with horseradish mashed potato.  For desert we treated ourselves
with an Apple Pastry Tart with Cinommon Ice Cream and a lemon Créme Brûlée.

We then relaxed with a great cup of latte, but not before the limoncello-its a hard job but someone has to do it.
We want you to experience all the best that Chicago has to offer and this touch of old world is just one of the
stories in the big city!  Please allow me to make VIP reservations for you, call 312 671 1573.  Grazie mille,
Sandy, your Red Carpet Concierge.
