I met this bubbly personality a few years ago at the Whitehall Hotel where she was by far the most
glittery gal I had ever seen, the kind that you want to be just like when you were a little girl. Movie
star aura with a smile for everyone. Gloria is a retired physical education teacher who moved into
a different classroom, the kitchen.
She has been teaching her students home style cooking techniques for twelve years much with
her own personal financial support at a Washington High School on the south east side.. Gloria
has her own social media group-one that will far surpass the online current popularities. She
would have made a bundle of money if she would have gone dot com.
She read a tribute from one of her students at the Pump Room at the Ambassador Hotel last week,
an enthusiastic 14 year old who knew the value of a "thank you". One that lost his parents in the
stream of a difficult lifestyle. He nonetheless is striving to move on into a Chef life and we all
silently wished him and Gloria well.
She has an unusual chef bonnet, n'est pas?
